We are delighted to be launching a new suite of limited edition prints by some of Australia’s best known printmakers. The suite consists of 20 different prints, each by a different artist, measuring 300mm square printed on 530mm x 600mm 300gsm Hahnemuhle paper.
We asked artists to respond to Auden’s poem, Musée des Beaux Arts.
The prints have been editioned by hand in Hobart and will all be signed by the artists in editions of just 40 prints.
The artists involved in the project are Rick Amor, Ros Atkins, Philip Faulks, Dianne Fogwell, Kevin Foley, Sophie Gaur , Bill Hay, Kristin Headlam, Patrice Mahoney, John Marshall, Terry Matassoni, Celia Moriarty, Sharron Okines, John Ryrie, Heather Shimmen, Georgia Spain, Simon Spain, Kati Thamo, Scott Trevelyan and Deborah Williams. All the artists have given their work knowing the sales of these prints will support Scarlet’s Fund.
One set of prints will be framed up for the event at Cranlana – when the official launch will take place – and this set will be donated to the ICU at Royal Melbourne Hospital in early 2017.
All the prints will be for sale from 26 November. Prices will be available from the night. You can either buy the prints individually or as a set – which reduces the price of each print considerably.
